As a fan of fantasy films, tv series and books such as; The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones and The Witcher, I was inspired to create my own unique world of fantasy characters and creatures using the latest digital image technology along with my traditional graphic design skills. The result is a series of fantasy greyscale colouring books featuring many of the inhabitants of the magical and enchanted forests, valleys, mountains and realms within the Enchanted Land of Fantasy. This also includes 'Dark Fantasy' colouring books, featuring the creatures that dwell in the shadow realms.
Greyscale colouring is the technique of adding colour to black and white illustrations. The different shades of grey in the image act as your tonal colouring guide, using techniques such as layering, shading and blending to colour on top of the grey shades, adding depth and breathing life into the image. It's a beginner-friendly technique with no strict rules and a relaxing and enjoyable way to create beautiful artwork, regardless of your skill level!
My first colouring book 'The Magical Forest' was published in 2024, which I dedicated to my wonderful Mum, Patricia 'Trish' Spencer, who very sadly left us in 2021. Mum had such a great love of Faeries and her memory inspired the first character in the book, 'Trish' ~ The Flower Faerie.
I've also created a series of bold outline 'easy colouring' books for children and some mindfulness colouring books for adults and seniors. My books have sold in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Italy, France, Poland, Ireland and Australia.
Colouring can be really helpful as a therapeutic escape and relaxation method, as the creative process calms the mind and helps to reduce over thinking and stress. My hope is that 'Enchanted Land of Fantasy' colouring books can become your 'happy place!' :)

For greyscale colouring books, using good quality soft-core coloured pencils is recommended. Coloured pencils allow for easy layering, blending and depth, which is key for greyscale work. Marker pens are not recommended, as their alcohol or water bases can cause undesirable colour bleeding issues when colouring greyscale images.
Black outline colouring books can be used with pencils and alcohol-based markers. Care should be taken when colouring images with fine black outlines to avoid colour bleed over the lines. Add a piece of card under the page to prevent ink bleed through.
